Come enjoy a night in the trees at one of our treehouses — each by ArtisTree!
Lofthaven II (pictured above) is a beautiful round bedroom built around an ancient cypress trunk with the tree growing majestically up through the middle. The romantic canopy bed, hammock, and wicker chairs give any couple room to enjoy their tree top haven from many angles. The wraparound porch has a small table and chairs to enjoy the sights of the ravine at sunset or with your coffee the next morning. Our Lofthaven sleeps two guests.
When you are not in the tree, a bridge connects you to your magnificent bathhouse with a waterfall-filled tub to relax and look out over the ravine. This is fully experiencing nature in style!

Can children stay in the tree house?
Children must be at least 10 years old to stay in our tree houses and must be accompanied at all times by an adult. The Lofthaven is an adult-only treehouse.
Can people visit guests in tree houses?
Cypress Valley is our family ranch and home. We do NOT allow people other than those staying in treehouses to be on our property outside Canopy Tour operating hours. ONLY booked guests may enter the treehouses.
Is a zipline tour included in the price?
A zipline canopy tour is a separate reservation and is not included in the price of your treehouse reservation. We do require all overnight guests to participate in a zipline canopy tour when tours are available. Tours are available Thursday-Sunday in the Spring and Fall and Tuesday through Sunday in the summer. Our Canopy Tour is closed during the winter. Please book online or give our office a call at (512) 264-8880 to book a zipline canopy tour.
What are the check in and check out times for the treehouses?
Check in is between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. the day of your reservation, and checkout is 11 a.m. the next day.
What amenities are included in the reservation?
Both the Nest and Lofthaven have private bathrooms located on the bluffs across the ravine from your tree house. The ground structures and the tree structures are included in your treehouse reservation. There is electricity and lighting in all structures.
The Lofthaven’s ground structure houses the heated natural rock tub, kitchenette, and bathroom. We provide a drip coffee maker with coffee, a toaster oven, as well as cups, dishes, and flatware. There is a kitchen sink and small refrigerator. Our restroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. The tree structure contains a small table, hammock, and a queen size bed. The bed is outfitted with fresh linens, extra blankets, and a canopy for your comfort.
The Nest has its own seperate dining room equipped with a small kitchen suspended above the creek ravine a few steps from your bedrooms. You will have a small refrigerator, sink, toaster oven, coffee pot, dishes, cups, and flatware. The Nest’s bathroom has a tub/shower combination, sink, and toilet, and there is a outside shower near the bedrooms on a vine-covered deck. The Nest has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins. There is also a full size air mattress available for extra guests. The Nest includes a small lounge area with floor pillows and wingback chairs for late night reading.
Both Juniper and Willow share a common bathroom facility which includes two showers a short walk from your treehouse bedrooms.
Our lake, pool (seasonal), and other facilities are Juniper and Willow’s backyard and available for guest use anytime.
Is there air conditioning in the tree houses?
The Lofthaven features a centuries-old living cypress tree growing through the center of the bedroom. As a result, A/C was not originally provided in order to avoid harming the tree. We have made accommodations so that guests staying at Lofthaven have access to an A/C unit once the sun goes down in the evening. During the day, fans are provided, and the screened windows can be opened up completely. The Lofthaven is cooler than the surrounding area due to the shade of the trees.
The Nest bedrooms and lounge area are air-conditioned. The kitchen and dining room have a fan, but no A/C.
Juniper and Willow have small solar powered window A/C units for your comfort.
The Ranch House is equipped with central heat/AC and has a woodburning stove.
As our treehouses and Ranch House often book months in advance for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events, we have a 30-day cancellation policy. Once we have turned a guest away for a special occasion, they will likely have booked elsewhere and no longer be available to rent the space. A refund minus a 20% booking fee will be issued with notice at least 30 days PRIOR to your reservation date. No refunds will be given within 30 days of your reservation date.
Pets are not allowed in the treehouses or the ranch house.
Our original Lofthaven was lost in the wildfires of 2011. To learn more about what to expect, read about our original Lofthaven treehouse as written up by Texas Outside.
